Accessibility statement
Version 1.0 — Last updated:
Our commitment
AMBASSADIA SARL, publisher of TranscribIA, is committed to making its public website (www.transcribia.eu) and platform (client.transcribia.eu) accessible to everyone. This approach takes account of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) — Directive (EU) 2019/882 — and national frameworks within their respective scope. In France, Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005 may apply, depending on the organisation concerned. The language selected does not determine the applicable framework.
This commitment is particularly important for TranscribIA: our customers include organisations in the public sector, local government, education and healthcare, for whom digital accessibility is both a legal obligation and a major inclusion issue.
The website and platform are designed following the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), versions 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA, together with the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 (accessibility requirements for ICT products and services).
Declared compliance status
Based on our current internal checks, the TranscribIA public website and platform aim to meet WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA; the level of compliance has not yet been established through a full audit. This statement reflects our commitment to transparency: the vast majority of Level A and AA criteria are taken into account in the interface design, but some content or components may still present accessibility barriers.
A full accessibility audit, conducted using the reference methodology (RGAA 4.1) and standard EN 301 549, is planned. It will establish an accurate compliance rate, list documented non-conformities and define a costed remediation plan. This document will be updated when the results are published.
At this stage, we prefer not to publish a numerical compliance rate that has not been verified by an independent audit.
Accessibility measures already in place
The public website (statically generated with Astro) and the platform (React, accessible interface components) include the following measures:
- Colour contrasts meeting the minimum ratio defined by WCAG AA for text and interface components.
- Keyboard navigation : all functionality can be used without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.
- Semantic HTML : correct page structure (landmarks, consistent heading hierarchy, appropriate ARIA attributes) to support screen-reader navigation.
- Responsive text sizes and fluid layouts that adapt to all screens (mobile, tablet and desktop).
- Labelled forms : fields associated with their labels, clear error messages and accessible validation.
- Alternative text provided for images that convey information.
- No reliance on colour alone to convey information or a status.
Content outside our control and exemptions
Some content is provided by third parties or falls outside our direct technical control; it may not offer optimal accessibility:
- Audio and multimedia players embedded for listening to source files and their transcripts.
- PDF documents, images or files uploaded by our customers to their workspace: their accessibility is the responsibility of the organisation that produces them.
- Embedded third-party content (external integrations), whose owners are solely responsible for compliance.
Under the RGAA and standard EN 301 549, these items may fall within the third-party content exemption. Nevertheless, we support our customers in producing accessible documents (see below).
TranscribIA, a tool supporting accessibility
Beyond the accessibility of our own interface, TranscribIA's core purpose directly aligns with the spirit of the European Accessibility Act: automatic transcription and captioning make audio and video content accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and more broadly to anyone who needs a text alternative.
By using TranscribIA, our customers produce transcripts, subtitles and text alternatives that help them make their own content compliant with accessibility requirements applicable to their sector (public services, higher education, healthcare and media). Our product therefore acts as an enabler of inclusion for the organisations we support.
Report an accessibility issue
If you encounter an accessibility issue that prevents you from accessing content or a feature, or simply wish to report a difficulty, please let us know:

Complaints procedure
If you experience an accessibility issue and do not receive a satisfactory response from us, you are entitled to take further action. In France, you can contact the Défenseur des droits (defenseurdesdroits.fr), by post or through the dedicated online form. Users in other European Union Member States may contact the competent national digital accessibility authority under the procedures applicable in the country concerned, pursuant to the European Accessibility Act.
Monitoring and revision of this statement
This accessibility statement was prepared on 17 October 2026 (version 1.0). It is reviewed at least once a year, and whenever the interface changes significantly or the full audit results are published.
Next scheduled review: 30 June 2027, or when the audit report becomes available.
